Dished plans your week

Start with your family’s tastes and the nights you want to cook. Dished builds a plan from your recipes, with fresh ideas when you want them. Swap any dinner and lock the ones you want to keep.

One list. Every store.

Meal ingredients become one list, with quantities combined and items grouped by aisle. Assign ingredients to your stores, then see just what you need at each stop.

Create something new. Keep it for next time.

A new dinner. A new favorite to keep.

Dished can create recipes for your meal plan using your preferences. Every new recipe is automatically saved in Recipes, ready to cook again.

  1. 1 · Choose your meals

    Your favorites or something new

Plan with saved recipes, mix in new ideas when needed, or ask Dished to create new recipes. Choose breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks.

  2. 2 · Open your recipe

    Ingredients and steps, included

Tap a meal to see the full recipe, with quantities and servings. New recipes are saved automatically.

  3. 3 · Shop your plan

    The ingredients join your list

Your meal plan becomes a grocery list, so you can see what you need before shopping.

  4. 4 · Cook it again

    Find it in Recipes

Add the saved recipe to another plan. You don’t need to create it again.

Made for real family dinners

A little less on your plate.

The remembering, the rearranging, the recipe you meant to try. Dished helps with all of it.

Remembers your family

“Did the kids like this last time?”
Now you know.

A quick check-in after dinner captures who wants it again and who doesn’t. Find meals by who loves them, and give Dished better clues for the next plan.

Old favorites get a nudge back into rotation. Meals marked “Not again” stay out of future suggestions unless you choose to lock them in.

Makes room for real life

Practice ran late.
Dinner can move.

Move a meal to an open night, use something from your freezer stash, or mark that you ordered in. Keep track of what actually happened, without starting the whole week over.

Want help spotting the busy nights? Connect your calendar to help Dished pick quicker dinners for your busiest evenings. It’s optional.

Rescues your saved recipes

From “saved for later”
to dinner on the table.

That TikTok dinner. The Instagram recipe you sent yourself. The screenshots buried in your camera roll. Bring them into Dished, then put them in your plan.

Share a link, snap a recipe card or a screenshot, or paste a recipe you keep in Notes, a text, or an email. Dished sorts it into ingredients and steps.

Everyone gets a say

Dinner doesn’t have to be
one person’s job.

Share recipes, plans, and groceries with your household. Collect requests before you build the week, and see which ideas made it onto the menu.

Ask what sounds good

Household members can suggest a recipe, type a craving, or tap “I’d eat this.” Their ideas help shape the week.

Include every eater

Record your kids’ tastes without creating accounts for them. You can track what a partner likes even if they don’t use the app.

Share the everyday work

Up to six app members can share one household’s recipes and grocery list, and assign who’s cooking. Each recipe shows who added it.

Other features

The little things,
taken care of.

From the grocery aisle to the last kitchen timer. Explore what else comes with Dished.

Cook once. Cover more than one dinner.

Choose when to cook, how much to make, and which later nights get the leftovers. Batch cooking becomes part of the week’s plan.

Shop by store. Remember your usuals.

Chicken at Costco, produce at Trader Joe’s, or whichever stores you choose. Assign each ingredient a store for this trip, or choose “Remember this store” for next time. Switch between your whole list, one store, and items you haven’t assigned—all in one shared grocery list.

Dished combines ingredient quantities, remembers pantry staples, and automatically suggests categories for items you add, like Dairy for milk. You can change the category yourself, check off what you’ve bought, and add last-minute extras to the same list.

Tonight’s dinner, at a glance

See tonight’s meal, who’s cooking, and when to start. Add the Tonight widget to your Home Screen, or ask Siri what’s for dinner in Dished.

A little help while you cook

Keep the recipe screen awake, mark your current step, and tap a time in the instructions to start a named timer. Timers keep running when you leave the recipe, with Live Activity support. You can also ask Siri to add something to your Dished grocery list.

Find the favorites. Remember the good weeks.

Search your vault by tags, who added a recipe, or who loves it. See when you last cooked a dish and look back through past weeks for inspiration.

Start with the days you have left

No need to wait for a fresh week. When at least two dinner days remain, you can make your first plan for the rest of this week. Otherwise, get a head start on next week.

Before you download

A few good questions.

Is Dished free?

Dished is free to download. You can save recipes, make your first meal plans, and shop from your grocery list without paying. Dished Plus is an optional subscription for one household of up to six people. It adds more plans each month, more recipe imports, video imports, and sharing with your household.

When and where can I use Dished?

Dished is on the App Store for iPhone in the United States and needs iOS 18 or later. We haven’t announced an Android version.

Does my whole family need the app?

No. You can plan dinners and record everyone’s tastes yourself, including kids and partners without accounts. Invited app members can also share recipes, plans, and groceries with you.

Can I bring recipes from another app?

Yes, from Paprika or Recipe Keeper. Export your recipes from that app, then choose Import from another app in Dished, and your whole collection comes over with its photos. You can also save recipes from websites, photos, supported social posts, and text.

Your recipes are yours. Forever.

If you ever stop subscribing, you keep free access to every recipe you’ve saved. Your family’s favorites still have a home.
